Am I covered by producer responsibility?
Your company is covered by producer responsibility for electronics and batteries if you put electronic products and batteries on the market in Norway. This can include producers, importers, distributors, and retailers.
Producers – domestic producers who sell in Norway
Importers – who put products on the market in Norway
Retailers – who sell electronic products in Norway that are produced abroad
Distributors – who sell products to stores in Norway
International distributors – who sell to companies in Norway
How does store collection work?
Producer responsibility means that the companies covered need to offer retail collection of electronic waste from consumers. The amount of e-waste that each store is expected to handle is based on the one-on-one principle. That is, you are expected to handle the collection of as many kilograms or units of e-waste as you sell electronic products.
